It’s been a year since the board chose to hire me as the executive director of PFOA. It’s been quite a year. One filled with challenges, changes, opportunities and more. Much progress has been made. New strategic alliances have allowed new opportunities to buy better from our member’s prime vendor. Back up contracts allowed for better pricing and services on generics as well as other product needs. We continue the work to improve our franchisees position with MSI. We have begun programs to improve how we operate. We have added staff to help our group and membership accomplish more. We have added strategic promotions that have encouraged membership growth and incentivize our members to choose programs that will help them.
As I begin my second year with PFOA, I realize there is more to be accomplished. I will focus my efforts and the staff towards improving growth, optimizing our member’s opportunities and becoming a more consultative organization. We will continue to strive to improve the organization in terms of member programs. Get more of the membership involved in areas that will contribute to their success. Communicate information that will help our members with market issues. We will continue our direct and indirect efforts to improve our franchise member’s situation. I will look to improve our organization’s infrastructure and professionalism.
I would like to thank the board and the members of PFOA for hiring me and working with me. I have had contact with many of you and look forward to meeting more of you in the coming year. This has truly been the most challenging and personally rewarding year of my Health Care career. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the organization’s success and helping our members open more doors to opportunity and success.
