Dear PFOA Members,

It’s an exciting time for PFOA. Over $150,000 in end of year rebates have been sent out to the membership this month based off program and prime vendor participation this year. In the month of December we have added three exciting programs that will help our members save money on their everyday pharmaceutical purchases and receive better service. The programs give our members options they did not have. For those that choose to use them, you will be very happy with the results.

We signed an agreement with ANDA, the fourth largest distributor of generics in the United States today. They also offer a wide array of additional products our members can use. Our members will receive a custom formulary that will save them money off invoice vs. Anda’s standard pricing. Our members will earn rebates on every generic dollar purchased. They will be entitled to special buys from ANDA. Use of their ordering website will save members even more on their purchases. Of course their phone staff is ready to work with you also. With over 150 of our members buying from ANDA right now, this represents immediate improvement for nearly half our group effective in December. Literally all of our members can potentially benefit from this agreement. This is intended to be a secondary agreement.

We have signed a group affiliation agreement with American Associated Pharmacies (AAP). This will allow our members to utilize what is in many cases superior purchase opportunities with Cardinal Health and other ancillary vendors. Additionally, they own their own distribution facility which our members can take advantage of for some superior purchasing opportunities on generic and otc products. They also have available approximately 300 brand items at competitive prices. You can join their cooperative and additionally participate in their end of year patronage dividends also. This program will be of particular benefit for option one stores required to buy from Cardinal Health. It represents a better way to buy and save in most cases for option one stores.

We additionally signed a group affiliation agreement with Partners in Pharmacy Cooperative (PIPCo). They are a strong regional cooperative in the Mid-West. They offer the same Cardinal AAP deal for our option one members. They have a number of programs that will be beneficial for our members and have a strong representation in the Mid-West. The agreement is a non-exclusive agreement covering eleven Mid-West states giving our members more options in this area.
